Wow, rough week; mostly for Lil.
Currently Lil’s with us every second week (which is a change from the old roster in which Lil was with us for Saturday through to Tuesday night every week). Unfortunately when Lil got to our house on Monday she wasn’t feeling very well, and on the Tuesday we finally decided to test for Covid, which she had. We’re all a bit precious about Jack in general, so Lil was only too happy to help us be very careful to contain Covid in our house by isolating in her room for five days. So, what that all amounted to though was that for the week that she was with us she had to isolate in her room.
We established a pretty good system of delivering meals, drinks and water bottles to her room. Lil would also broadcast with her Google speaker to let us know when she wanted to roam around the house a little. We decided pretty early on that Netflix wasn’t going to be enough for a week locked in a bedroom so we started shopping for a Lego set. Lil’s pretty into Harry Potter, and although I was encouraging her to get this set, we agreed that this one was a little more her style. I picked it up on her first day, and Grammy (Fay) generously chipped in half for her.
It turned out to be just the right amount of entertainment for the allocated time. She finished it the day before her lockdown ended. It’s a very impressive set and sits proudly next to her desk.
Anyway, rough week, mostly for Lil but i’m sure she’ll let Jack know what sacrifices she made for him when he’s older. 😋
